So Cute! by DynomiteWins
I ordered this set, it arrived 2 days later and 2 nights after that I had finished watching the entire series. It’s absolutely adorable - I laughed, I cried and I was happy the whole time… I even loved the ambiguous ending!
While I can appreciate complex and deep characters in animation, its sometimes refreshing to be able to sit back and just enjoy a heroine who you know is going to do the right thing all the time without much internal conflict.
This Anime is cotton candy sweet…similar to Ah! My Goddess, with less fan service and more slapstick humor. Throughly enjoyable.
This is quite an impressive box set by Lesley Aeschliman
This box set contains all 26 episodes of Fruits Basket, as well as an impressive assortment of special features. This set contains four DVDs packaged in the slimline DVD cases, which are packaged into an outer box. Unlike many DVD sets that are packaged in an outer box made out of flimsy cardboard, the outer box for this set is made out of sturdier material.
Extras include: a textless version of the opening credits, character profiles, a behind the scenes featurette that aired in Japan as a preview for the Fruits Basket anime series, an interview with the director of Fruits Basket, all three “Fruits Basket Room” segments that aired in Japan (where the Japanese voice actor for Tohru interviewed the Japanese voice actors for Yuki, Kyo, and Shigure), two “Eyecatch Galleries,” an illustration gallery, and an interview with the English voice cast.
Overall, this is a pretty strong DVD box set release. There’s a good selection of bonus features, and they’re spread out rather evenly between all four discs. If you’re a fan of the Fruits Basket anime, this set is worth getting if you don’t already own the series on DVD.
A good story about finding your place in the world. by Casey W. Newman
A Series I think has a good message hidden beneath it, but the villian is truly one heartless bastard. It’s a good thing the main character is so kind-hearted and cute. Which is a strong combination against anything.
The best anime deserves the best review… by J. E. Cruz
Fruits Basket is the best shojo anime that ive seen lately! You get the complete series how great is that! I recommend any female or male fan who loves anime to get this! You got nothing to lose because this anime will give you some laughs, romance, action, and a pinch of magic!
